Syllabus VFX Artist for Games and Film

The education program lasts 2.5 years (500 higher vocational polytechnic credits where each credit corresponds to one study day and each semester is 100 yhp).

During the first year, you build a broad knowledge base with, among other things, introductory courses in both 3D visualisation and digital compositing. Before the second year, you choose a specialisation and then get a series of more tailored courses. The entire last semester is done as an internship at a VFX company.

  • Pre-production (Previs) – 10 yhp
  • 3D-visualisation – introduction – 30 yhp
  • Photo and film – light, composition and camera technique – 20 yhp
  • Digital Compositing – introduction – 30 yhp

  • Virtual Production (Real-time) – 40 yhp
  • 3D-visualisation – introduction: repetition – 5 yhp
